Artist' statement:
I believe we 're all artists because everyone thinks. Thinking is art, everything else is just execution. Given the right circumstance anything can be executed. Thought is art, circumstance is previously executed art, and execution is work.
How I make my art:
I spend hours and days thinking, and then weeks and months creating fine art prints. Then, from the hundreds of prints I make every year, I take a few select ones and turn them into acrylic or oil paintings. In a way it's kind of like working backwards from the norm because the prints come first.
About the artist:
Kevin is an emerging contemporary artist using creativity to explore and express his ideas. Influenced by classic animation, philosophy, and fine art, Kevin's artwork is a delightful blend of strange thinking and light-hearted design. He approaches his thoughts with an untamed imagination in order to create interesting works of art. On approaching his art he said, "I like to take an idea, pull it out of my head, push it out of the realm of existence, spin it around, put it back into the depths of the earth, and then dig it up to see what I find."
KCF grew up in central Connecticut, USA creating works of art since the time he was three. After attending the New York Film Academy, serving in the U.S Military, and working at an Aerospace Laboratory, he decided to finally try and expose his artwork to the world.
"My very first memory of drawing was when I was about three; I drew a rocket ship with crayons and markers. My very next memory of art is when I sculpted and painted a paper mache alligator. Since then I haven't been able to stop. I create art in many forms and it's my passion and tool for exploration in this world. I hope to someday take the ideas and wonders in my head and put them out into the open for everybody to see." - KCF
